Growing up in a small town in Morocco, where choices were limited by culture more than anything else, I knew that, leaving was the only way for my creative dreams to be fulfilled. So at 25 I packed my bags and ventured alone in search of a better lifestyle. That search brought me to the doors of Media production in Dubai and the job of my dreams. Seventeen years (and a move to London) later I found myself still doing 16 hours a day in the industry and wishing for a new career.

 

Then 2020 brought upheaval into all our lives in the form of COVID-19. This afforded me the opportunity to indulge in a long-held love of baking cakes, not just as a form of therapy for my now stifled creative outlet, but to push my skills to the next level.  

 

So, one lockdown, dozens of eggs and heaps of flour later, I realised this was to be my next exciting chapter! - my passion for baking became fused with my love of art and I started designing bespoke cakes. Before I knew, this evolved into launching my own business (encouraged more than I would have dared to hope for) as orders requests from friends and friends of friends started coming in thick and fast... then when production studios calls came calling, I left them ringing out ...
